Hello! My name is Cece and I'm very excited to be pursuing my PhD in Astronomy & Planetary Science at NAU. I completed by undergrad at Cornell '21 in Astronomy with a concentration in Astrobiology. My senior thesis investigated photometric properties of Pluto's surface using images from NASA's New Horizons mission. I was also able to support several missions through my undergraduate research, including Europa Clipper, CAESAR, and the Mars Perseverance Rover.

I am currently a PhD Candidate working with NAU and Lowell Observatory to study icy worlds of the outer solar system. My dissertation work focuses on Titan and understanding how its environments can be chemically altered by the presence of trace species, such as propane, carbon monoxide, and benzene. I am also passionate about making my field more accessible for people from marginalized groups through outreach and DEI programs.

Outside of my work in planetary science, I love to wander around the mountains, climb large rocks, and take care of my photosynthetic children.
